Robert Colebank

August 23, 1958 — February 22, 2023

Robert “Bob” Colebank, 64, of Brunswick, VT, left this earth on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, after a long hard courageous battle with cancer, at home with his wife and pup by his side.

Bob was born the third child to Emily (Peabody) and Leo Walter Colebank in Kankakee, Illinois, on August 23, 1958, moving with his mom and family to Groveton in 1969.

Bob had a great sense of humor, often teasing his brothers that he was the good looking one with a neck. He could make you laugh or at least give you a good smile whether you wanted to or not. He was a jack of all trades from carpentry to mechanics and everything in between; there wasn’t much he couldn’t do.

Bob loved his Harley and traveled across the US a few times among countless other adventures; making new friends and visiting old ones along the way. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, football, and old westerns with his wife. He also enjoyed Bruno’s Red Neck Golf, just hanging out at home with his wife or with family and friends, gardening, where he loved trying to master his indoor tomatoes, the anticipated arrival of the first hummingbird, watching them all summer until the dreaded last sighting, his New Castle Brown Ale, and his nightly sundae ice cream cone.

He really enjoyed darts where he made countless new friends and spent time with old friends, they were a part of his family. Bob was a member of the White Mountain Dart League, Sons of the American Legion, Groveton, and Loyal Order of Moose.

Bob was a what you see is what you get type of guy. His best denim shirt and jeans was about as dressed up as it got. He lived to impress no one and stood behind his convictions. He was strait forward and honest, and he gave the best hug. He will be greatly missed by his wife, pup, family, and anyone that knew and loved him.

Bob was predeceased by two daughters, Laura and Kelley, their mother Katherine (Boudrias) Colebank; his parents Emily Schaefer and Leo Colebank; and his faithful companion Sunny girl.

He is survived by his wife Lori L. Ramsay Colebank and their baby Budley J. of Brunswick, VT; their grandson Maverick Desmarais of St. Johnsbury, VT; brother Barry (Barb) Colebank of Columbus, OH; sister Sandra (Wade) Noyes of Hyde Park, VT; brother William (Donna) Colebank of Groveton, NH; sister Rebekah (Allen) Potter of Claremont, NH; and several nieces and nephews. Also, close family friends, Kathy Lepine, Danni and Anthony Rodriques, and Steve Pennock. Without your help and support it would have been impossible for Lori to keep him at home where he most wanted to be.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 24th, starting at 1:00PM at Lori's home in Brunswick.
