DALTON - Robert (Bob) Comeau was born on December 4, 1953, in Jamaica Plains, MA to Virginia (Nantel) Comeau and Robert E Comeau.
During his high school years Bob’s family moved from Berkley, MA to Lancaster, NH where Bob graduated from White Mountains Regional High School in 1972.
Bob met his wife, Nancy Severance, when he was playing in a band at a local pub where she was the bartender. It didn’t take them long to see it was a good match and they married in 1980. In 1981 they started a family with the birth of their daughter, Jaclyn, and in 1983 the birth of their son, Bryan.
Soon after marriage a well - known local woodsman hired Bob to work in the woods. He never looked back and eventually started his own logging business, BNBJ Inc. In 1994, the New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association (NHTOA) awarded him Outstanding Logger of the Year.
Bob was an avid musician throughout his life. Along with his acoustic and electric guitars, he played banjo and mandolin. In 2021 he took up the pedal steel guitar and conquered it during his battle with cancer.
It goes without saying that Bob’s two grandchildren, Ellis (6) and Nola (2) lit up his life.
Bob never missed an opportunity to spend time with his brothers and their families; Stephen Comeau (Whitefield, NH), Richard Comeau (Goffstown, NH), Larry Comeau (Dunbarton, NH), Ronny Comeau (Nashua, NH), Kelly Comeau (Lake City, FL), and Eric Comeau Santa Clara, UT (deceased).
There will be no service or calling hours. A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2024.
