Robert (Bob) Joseph Dunn, Jr, age 68 of Lancaster, NH passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Lafayette Center Nursing Home in Franconia.
Bob was born July 17, 1957, in Dexter, Maine to Robert Dunn and Nancy (Prescott) Dunn. They moved shortly after his birth to Billerica, MA, where Bob grew up affectionately called “Bobby” by his whole family. Attending Billerica schools, Bob graduated high school in 1975.
The start of Bob’s employment was at CVS Pharmacy where he worked his way to a manager’s position. A switch in career brought him to Mirror Lake, NH, working for Pak 2000. He moved to Lancaster, NH when Pak brought their business there and Bob became the Poly-Print Manager. This is where he met his wife.
Bob was an avid Harley Davidson rider who loved NASCAR auto racing and hunting. Bob’s life-long happy place was the family camp on Lake Wassookeag where he was born in Dexter, Maine.
In 2008, Bob suffered a massive stroke during surgery that left him paralyzed on left side. A fighter, through and through, Bob found ways to enjoy his life via his wheelchair and could be seen traveling through town and visiting with everyone he saw.
Family meant everything to Bob and there was never a man more proud of his siblings, nieces, nephews and Godchild.
Bob leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Paula Hutchinson-Dunn and mother-in-law Cathy Bishop, both of Lancaster, his twin sisters, Amy (Matt) Varrell of Harvard, MA and Ann Reed of Billerica, MA; his sisters-in-law Linda Dunn of Tewksbury, MA and Wendy (Mark) Fahlbeck of Lancaster; as well as his brother-in-law Michael (Della) Bishop also of Lancaster. He leaves nieces and nephews: Nicholas, Rusty, Caitlin and Jenna as well as his Godson Mason.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Bob and Nancy, his special Aunt Louise, his father-in law Bob, his brother David and his niece Haylee.
Visiting Hours will be held at Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster on Tuesday, April 7, 5-7pm with the funeral being held also at Bailey Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 8 at 11am.
