LANCASTER, NH- Robert G. Grondin, 76, of Stockwell Road, died Tuesday February 27, 2008.

Mr. Grondin was born in Biddeford, Maine, on December 29, 1931, a son of Oscar J. and Corona (Bergeron) Grondin.

Robert attended St. Louis School in Biddeford, Maine, Assumption Prep School and Assumption College in Worcester. For a time he worked with his family at Grondin Plumbing and Heating Supply, he then began working for various insurance companies, including Metropolitan Life in Biddeford, Dover and Berlin, Grondin and Cummings Insurance, Concord Group, EBM in Hampton and George M. Stevens & Son Financial Services from which he retired from in 1997.

Bob was an active member of All Saints Church in Lancaster he was a member of the Men of St. Joseph, a CCD teacher and a long term Eucharistic Minister often visiting the local nursing home. He was also very active with the Col. Town Recreations. He enjoyed getting together with relatives and friends for annual fishing trips.

He was a communicant of All Saints Church, Lancaster.

Family members include his wife Juliette (Demers) Grondin of Lancaster; seven children, Ann Huddleston and her husband Eric of Lancaster, Linda Rexford and her husband David of Lancaster, Michael Grondin of Staten Island, NY, Daniel Grondin and his wife Kate Stinehour of Andover, MA, Betty Jose and her husband Rick of Bourne, MA, Denise Mawn and her husband Kevin of Nashua and Peter Grondin of Concord, NH; 13 grandchildren, Kristin Huddleston of Boston, Trevor Huddleston of Durham, Katey Rexford of Lafayette, LA, Leanne Rexford of Orlando, FL, Christopher and Alexander Grondin of Andover, MA, Grace and Bowen Jose of Bourne, MA, Cody, Connor and Colleen Mawn of Nashua, and Andrew and Jared Grondin of Concord; two sisters, Theresa Bouthot and Precille Beebe both of Biddeford, ME and a brother Joseph Grondin of Saco, ME and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by, his parents and three siblings, Adrian "Babe" Grondin, Norman Grondin and Rita Grondin.

Visiting hours will be held Friday February 29 from 7-9 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 2:00 PM at All Saints Church, Lancaster. Burial will be held in the spring at Calvary Cemetery.
