LANCASTER- Roberta Beland, 60, of Main Street, died Saturday morning August 5, 2006, at her home.
Mrs. Beland was born in Lancaster, on December 22, 1945, the daughter of Earl and Katherine (Reed) Maker Sr.
Roberta was raised in Lancaster she moved to Nashua in 1961, where she met and married her husband Arthur G. Beland, while in Nashua she was employed by Hitchiner Manufacturing Co. In 1986 she moved back to Lancaster, and continued her employment with Hitchiner in Littleton, retiring in 2003.
Family members include her husband Arthur of Lancaster; a son Arthur G. Beland Jr. and his fiancée Kathleen of Littleton; her mother Katherine of Lancaster; 2 grandchildren Derek A. Beland also of Lancaster and Jeremy J. Beland of Littleton, a great granddaughter Denise Marie; six sisters Catherine Maker, Bonnie Locke, Candie Powell all of Littleton, Gloria Maker of Lancaster, Donna Trombley and Ronnie Maker of Nashua; two brothers Frank Maker of Jefferson, Wallace Maker of Windham; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by, her father, two brothers Earl Maker Jr., and Daniel Maker.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, August 8, afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 7-9, at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM, at the funeral home, Reverend James Michaels, pastor of the Lancaster Assembly of God will officiate. Burial will follow in Summer Street Cemetery.
