JEFFERSON/LANCASTER - Longtime Jefferson resident, Roberta J. Gray, 67, of the McKee Inn, Lancaster, died suddenly but peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 30th, 2022, after a long period of declining health.
Roberta was born in Lancaster on June 13, 1954, the daughter of Dewey Alonzo and Mildred Wheeler (Cass) Gray. For her entire life she resided in Jefferson until a recent move to Lancaster. She was a dedicated worker and was employed many years for PAK 2000, Lancaster. She then worked for a time at P.J. Noyes, Lancaster, and lastly Santa's Village where she truly enjoyed working with children.
Roberta enjoyed playing cards, puzzles, word searches, and her kitties. She was a skilled knitter and will be fondly remembered for the many wonderful mittens and hats she made for family and friends.
Surviving family members include a brother Michael Gray Sr. of Jefferson; a sister Barbara Sheep of Ft. Myers, Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, William and Frank Gray.
A graveside service will be held Sunday morning, May 8th, at 9:30 AM in the Kilkenny View Cemetery, Jefferson. Reverend Dean A. Stiles, pastor of the Jefferson Christian Church will officiate.
