Rodney Dale Rexford, 87, of Dalton, New Hampshire passed away on Monday, October 13th surrounded by his family at home. Rodney was born on January 28th, 1938 to Carroll (Carl) & Myrtle (Danford) Rexford. He completed the 8th grade in Whitefield. He went to work with his father on the farm and cutting wood. He later bought a truck to haul logs. He was still doing this up to the present time.
He had several businesses over the years, a local area school bus contractor, Artic Cat Snowmobile dealer and dumptruck work. He loved doing odd jobs and visiting neighbors. Going snowmobiling and having all the children around gave him the most pleasure.
He married Nancy Berquist on July 6, 1957. They were married 68 years. They had six children and many that just came and stayed and became part of the family. He was a true friend and was loved by many.
Surviving children are Karen Locke, (Tex) Allen, Nancy E., Robin Pilotte (Eric), Wendy and companion Paul. Predeceasing him are his sons, Dennis & Jeffrey. They are 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at Cushman Cemetery on Saturday, October 18th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Riverside Rescue of Gilman, VT or Dalton Ridge Runners for the club house well.
