WHITEFIELD - Rodney A. Stillings, 62, of Elm Street, died Thursday August 24, 2006, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon.
Mr. Stillings was born in Lancaster on December 2, 1943, the son of Alfred and Agnes (Thompson) Stillings.
Rodney has been a lifetime resident of the North Country including the towns of Lunenburg, Lancaster and Dalton. He has resided in Whitefield for the past year. Most of his life he has worked as a logger and for a time owned and operated the Drafty Tack Shop in Dalton. He enjoyed horses and harness making, a trade he learned from his father.
Family members include a daughter Shelly Brammer of Bradford, MA, and a granddaughter Cortney Brammer.
There are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held Monday afternoon, August 28, at 2:00 at in the Cushman Cemetery, Dalton. Rev. Paul Powers, pastor of the Union Baptist Church of St. Johnsbury, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Bailey Funeral Home, 210 Main Street, Lancaster, NH 03584, to help defray the cost of services.
