Roger A. Snell

July 15, 1945 — January 29, 2023

Roger Snell peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023.

For those who knew Roger, you will recall that he never fully lost his “out east” accent. It was a factor that played a prominent part in so many wonderful stories about his life, whether from his time in university and the military, his marriage and family life or his careers at General Motors and lastly in the court. He was a Yankee through and through. Roger was a devoted husband and uncle who loved surprising his wife with wild flowers from the side of the road, going to Boy Scout camp with his nephew and taking his niece to the ballet for her “first date”. While he enjoyed his career in law, and he was a passionate advocate, he was always an antiques dealer at heart. Roger loved a good garage sale and was proficient in collecting all sorts of “finds”. He was less attracted to the sort and sell side of things! Roger will be terribly missed by his family and friends with whom he enjoyed traveling, boating, fly fishing, golf and of course, garage sales.

A visiting hour will be held Saturday, May 20th, from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A private graveside will follow in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster.

There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we are for our family, dear friends and neighbors who have been such a big part of our lives. Memorial donations may be made to: the Parkinson’s Foundation at Parkinson.org.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the dedicated staff of the Wyoming VA Health Care Center and Spectrum Health Hospice Services.
