LANCASTER- Rosa Marie White, 77, of Mechanic Street, died Sunday, August 17, 2008, at Country Village Genesis Elder Care, Lancaster.
Mrs. White was born in Tscheidt, Germany on June 19, 1931, the daughter of Alfred and Agnes (Mitlulla) Borsutzki.
Rosa came to the United States on February 23, 1953. She resided in Littleton until moving to Lancaster in 1962. For a time she worked as a waitress at the White Mountain Restaurant in Littleton and for 20 years at the Sportsmen Restaurant in the Bowling Alley in Lancaster. Later she worked summers at Santa's Village in Jefferson.
She enjoyed traveling and gardening.
Family members include three sons, Winfred White and his wife Maureen of El Paso, TX, Randolph White of Littleton, Robert White and his wife Karen of Stuttgart, Germany: two daughters, Heidi Planz of Lancaster and Karla White of Enosburg, VT, a brother Arno Borsutzki of Alberta, Canada, 13 grand children, Darren, Heather, Meredith, Amber, Logan, Derrick, Katrina, Katja, Alexa, Braeden, Callum, Raymond and Foster, 2 great grandchildren, Aurora and Aiden. She was predeceased by, her brother Helmut Borsutzki.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, August 20, from 6 to 8 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 at Christ United Methodist Church of Lancaster. Reverend Dr. Thomas W. Bentum, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Summer Street Cemetery.
