Rose M. Santerre

LANCASTER, NH - Rose M. Santerre, 84, of Chelle Road, died Sunday morning, December 24, 2006, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.

Mrs. Santerre was born in Fitchburg, MA, on January 9, 1922, the daughter of Albanie C. and Mary (Melanson) Belliveau.

Rose was a lifetime resident of Fitchburg and graduate of Fitchburg High School. Most of her life she was a homemaker, after her children had grown she worked for ten years in the housekeeping department of Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg. She moved to Lancaster in July of this year to be near family members.

She was a Communicant of the Sacred Heart Church of Fitchburg.

Family members include her husband Norman J. Santerre of Lancaster, NH; a son Ronald J. Santerre of Lunenburg, VT; five grandchildren, Becky Boutot and Jeremy Santerre both of Lancaster, Rachael Bebb of Florida, Crystal Funderburg and Holly Tousha both of Virginia; and seven grandchildren, Ashley Boutot, Alyssa Boutot, Joshua Shoemaker, Noble Tousha, Luke Funderburg, Ellie Funderburg, and Nia Bebb. Two sons, Kenney Santerre and Gary Santerre predeceased her.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday afternoon December 28, from 2:00 to 4:00 at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10:00 AM at All Saints Church, Main Street, Lancaster. Rev. Robert G. Levesque OMI of Columbia, NH, will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date in the Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner, MA.
