LANCASTER, NH - Ruth E. (Bees) McLean, 80, died Friday October 30, 2015 peacefully in her sleep at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster, after a long battle with COPD.
Her parents, Frederick T.S. Bees and M. Elsie Smith Bees, predeceased her. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who loved to sew, crochet and garden. She was a very crafty person with her hands and she especially loved socializing with friends.
Her granddaughter Eliza made her very proud with all her accomplishments in becoming a dedicated nurse.
Surviving family members include her husband of 63 years Edward McLean; her three children Cindy Feindel and her husband Bill of Framingham, MA, Bruce McLean and his wife Marilyn of Mountain City, TN, Bonnie McLean of Groveton, NH; her granddaughter Eliza Feindel of Marlborough, MA; two sisters Virginia Trenhom of Rocky Hill, CT and Marge Thouren of Marlborogh, MA.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday afternoon, November 4, at 3:00 at the Lancaster Congregational United Church of Christ. Reverend Sharon van der Laan, pastor, will officiate. A collation will follow from 4:00 to 6:00PM at the church. Burial will be at a later date in the Wildwood Cemetery, Ashland, MA.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made in her memory to the Framingham Heart Study, 73 Mt. Wayte Ave Suite 2, Framingham, MA 01702.
