LANCASTER - Salvatore Scott, 80, died Monday, February 14, 2011, at Country Village Genesis Health Care Center, Lancaster.
Mr. Scott was born in Asbury Park, NJ, on April 20, 1930, the son of Joseph Scott Sr. and Mary (Viola) Scott.
He was raised in New Jersey and resided in Neptune for many years where he owned and operated Sal's Refrigeration. In 1978 he moved to Florida and then to Lancaster in 2007.
Salvatore served with the US Army in the Korea Conflict. He was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church.
Family members include his wife Charlotte (Kravits) Scott of Lancaster; a son Paul Scott of Naples, FL; a daughter, Virginia Crane of Lancaster; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; a brother John Scott of Fort Myers, FL; and a sister Rosalie Freeman of Marlborough, NJ. He was predeceased by three brothers, Harold, Joseph and Anthony; and two sisters Margie Mildner and Minnie Burretts.
A visiting hour will be held Friday evening, February 18, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Mountain View Baptist Church. A service will follow immediately after at 7:00 PM. Rev. Donald Williams, pastor, will officiate.
Burial with military honors will be held in the spring in Summer Street Cemetery.
