LANCASTER- Samuel C. P. Baldwin, 81, of Middle Street, died Sunday May 21, 2006, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.
Mr. Baldwin was born in Pensacola, Florida, on February 4, 1925, the son of William Lester and Irene (Pinney) Baldwin.
Samuel was raised in Baltimore, Maryland, he attended John Hopkins University and was a graduate of Washington College and the University of Maryland School of Law. He practiced law in Baltimore for many years and was the founder of the Baltimore Rowing Club. For the past 2 years he has resided in Lancaster.
Family members include his wife Alice (Bowdin) Baldwin of Lancaster; two sons, Samuel C. P. Baldwin Jr. of Hollywood, MD, William Baldwin of Baltimore, MD; three daughter; Rosemary Hendricks, Sally Sager, both of Baltimore, MD, Eliza Vernazza of Chatham, NJ; a brother Richard Baldwin of Floyd Knobs, IN; 11 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Christine (Maynard) Baldwin.
There are no visiting hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
