GUILDHALL - Sandra Goad Shannon, 76, of North Road, died Sunday evening, January 31, 2016, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, of increasing health issues.
Mrs. Shannon was born in Littleton, NH, on June 9, 1939, the daughter of Clayton and Anne (Bristol) Goad.
Sandra attended schools in Whitefield and Groveton, NH. She married her high school boyfriend, Fred Shannon and together raised six children. They enjoyed spending time with their children, family and friends at their camp at Stratford Bog, and in retirement, enjoyed camping and blue grass festivals with their grandchildren. Sandra enjoyed crafting and her children cherish the many quilts she made them over the years. She retired from Ames Department Store in Northumberland.
Surviving family members include her children, Kathy Shannon and her companion George Couture, Karie Bresnahan and her husband, Brian, her three sons, Bradley Shannon, Brian Shannon and Brenden Shannon. Sandra had ten grandchildren and five great children whom she dearly loved. She also leaves her sister Donna Duplisea and brother Stephen Goad. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred, her daughter Lynn, and a grandson Zachary, her parents and one sister, Althea Sarnacki.
A graveside service will be held in the spring in Northumberland Cemetery.
