GILMAN - Sheila M. Covey, 63, died Wednesday evening October 9, 2013 at the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital, St. Johnsbury.
Mrs. Covey was born in Keene, NH on March 10, 1950 the daughter of Charles and Bessie (Reed) Garfield.
She was raised throughout Vermont but has been a 45 year resident of Gilman.
Shelia enjoyed camping, arts & crafts and being a homemaker.
She was a volunteer at the Gilman Senior Center.
Surviving family members include her husband John R. Covey of Gilman; a son John Covey II and wife Mary of Concord, VT; 9 grandchildren Robin, John, Brandon, Trevor, Jacob, Mitchell, Aryea, Donovan, Leeanne; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Edward Garfield of Michigan, Richard Garfield of Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday morning October 12 at 11:00 AM at the Bailey Funeral Home, 210 Main Street, Lancaster.
Reverend John Somers, pastor of the Lunenburg and Gilman Methodist Churches, will officiate.
Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
