GILMAN - Sheila Rae Frechette, 64 of Gilman, passed away in the late afternoon hours of September 15

, 2016. She was surrounded by loving family and friends and her loyal husband Dennis Frechette of Gilman.
Sheila was born in Concord, VT on March 28
th
, 1952 and has lived her entire life in Gilman, Vt. On October 3
rd
, 1970 Sheila, 18, married Dennis, 19, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Gilman. As a beloved member of the community, Sheila did everything from volunteering and working at the Gilman Public Library, both on Riverside Avenue and in bringing it to the Gilman Middle School, to being a volunteer Girl Scout co-leader and leader. She was involved in everything from the Gilman Outing Club to being a class mom for the Gilman Middle School Class of 1995. She was always helping to organize fundraisers for the basketball team and numerous other organizations Sheila was involved with. She was an amazing woman who showed what love was really about. She will be greatly missed, but will never be forgotten.
Sheila is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dennis A. Frechette of Gilman, her daughter Alison M Colbeth and her husband, Shane P. Colbeth, and their son, Jonathan A. Colbeth, all of Gilman; a brother Gary Walker and his wife Jen Walker of Maine; a brother, Brian Walker and wife Sharon Walker, and niece Brianna Walker, all of Swanton, VT; a cousin, who she grew up with like a sister in Gilman, Sabrina Doyon and her husband Reginald Doyon of West Burke, VT; many nieces and nephews including Adam Frechette, MA Sarah Taylor, VT Lyndsay Frechette, NH Alan Walker, FL Amanda Walker, FL and Brittany Caron, FL. She was predeceased by an infant sister and by a brother, David A. Walker of Fall River, MA; her mother, Beverly A. Walker, 83, of Gilman, and her father, Alfred P Quebec, of Redwood, City, CA.
A memorial service will be held Thursday afternoon, September 22, at 1:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster. Reverend Matthew Mason, pastor of the Gate of Heaven Parish, will officiate.
