Shelia Stinson passed away on July 19, 2024 at the age of 65, surrounded by her loving family. She had fought a long battle with pancreatic cancer, first diagnosed in 2008. She had been in remission since 2022.
Shelia was a great lover of the outdoors. A lifetime member of the NRA, she was a staunch believer of the right to carry and own guns. A hunter, avid fisherwoman, and trapper, she enjoyed sharing her hobbies with her beloved husband of 41 years, James, who survives her. She is also survived by a son, Brian, his wife Jessica, and their three daughters Bridget, and twins Brittney and Elizabeth, as well as a sister, Goldie and her husband Richard and one brother.
Besides her love of sports, she absolutely loved her flower gardens. She and James had the most beautiful day lilies and she loved to go out and walk around, dead heading as she went to extend their beauty. She also loved their vegetable garden, which was like something out of a magazine. Canning all summer and preparing her fruits for the winter was a joy to her.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services. She wanted to be remembered by her life, not her death. She was such a brave person and will be missed so much., We know that she is resting in peace at last.
