JEFFERSON - Shirley A. Rideout, 81, of Turnpike Road, died suddenly at her home Wednesday morning, November 27, 2019, after a period of failing health. She is safely back in Neal's arms.
Mrs. Rideout was born in Gorham, NH, on May 25, 1938, the daughter of Thomas C. and Marguerite (Barlow) McLain. She was raised in Portland, ME, eventually returning to the North Country where she married Neal W. Rideout Jr. in 1955.
Shirley worked various jobs during her lifetime including 9 years at PAC 2000. She was also a volunteer for the Whitefield Seniors and Tri County CAP.
Surviving family members include her children Neal T. Rideout of Jefferson, Joanne McGuire and husband John of Allenstown, NH; a sister Phyllis Viets of Unity, ME; 3 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Randy Lee Rideout; husband Neal in May of this year; a brother Thomas McLain and s sister Lydia Hannon.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
