Stacie Hickey, loving partner of Dean DeMers, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by those who loved her on May 30, 2024. She was 48 years old.
Stacie was born on August 26, 1975 to James and Janet Hickey at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, NH. She was a graduate of Groveton High School in 1993.
Stacie leaves behind her Partner, Dean DeMers; Stepson, Alan DeMers; Grandson, Aiden DeMers; Father, James Hickey; Stepmother Louise Hickey; Stepsister, Laura Wirchansky; Stepbrother, David Pelchat was well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Stacie was predeceased by her twin sister Jana lea; her mother Janet Gauvin Hickey; Uncle Randy Hickey and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Stacie was a kind-hearted and compassionate soul who touched the lives of everyone she met. Her warm smile and gentle demeanor could brighten even the darkest of days. She had a passion for taking care of children and her family, as well as crocheting, cooking, and fishing; with creativity that knew no bounds. Stacie’s artistic talents were evident in everything she did, from her plastic handbags to her can koozie creations. Stacie was an active participant of the Special Olympics throughout school. Stacie’ love was endless as she was always there for anyone who needed her.
Above all, Stacie cherished her relationship with Dean DeMers. Together they shared a bond built on love, trust, and mutual respect. Their partnership was a source of strength and joy, and they navigated life’s challenges hand in hand. Stacie will be deeply missed by her beloved Dean, her family, and friends. Through she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A small graveside service will be held on June 22nd, at 1pm at Emereson Cemetery in Stark, NH followed by a celebration of life at her home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bailey Funeral Home, in Stacie’s memory. May she rest in peace, forever remembered and cherished.
