CONCORD, NH- Stanley H. Grattage, 85, formerly of Lancaster and Penacook died Tuesday April 22, 2008, at Harris Hill Center, Concord.
Mr. Grattage was born in Guildhall, VT on October 29, 1922, a son of William and Clara (Guilmette) Grattage.
Stanley lived in Lancaster NH for over 60 years before moving to Concord. He had worked for the town of Lancaster for many years before retiring. He loved working outdoors and riding on his lawnmower. He really enjoyed the company of his family and friends. He always had a great sense of humor and had a smile on his face. He will greatly be missed by everyone who knew him.
Family members include two sons, Glen Allin of Manchester and Roger Grattage of Florida, three daughters, Amber Curtis of Manchester, Wendy McKinnon of Haverhill and Joanie Curtis of Concord, a sister Evelyn Tasker of Epsom, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by, his wife Joan L. (Frenette) Grattage in 2004, two sons, Stan W. Grattage and Kenneth C. Grattage and two brothers and a sister.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday April 26, 2008, from 4-7 PM, at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 PM, at the funeral home. Rev. Virginia Alvarez, pastor of Lancaster Congregational United Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Summer Street Cemetery.
