JEFFERSON – Stella Paschal, 100, a lifelong resident of Jefferson died at her home on October 31, 2023
Stella was born in Jefferson on January 20, 1923, the daughter of Albert and Helen (Page) Ingerson. She was a graduate of Jefferson High School and went on to attend Plymouth Teachers College where she acquired a bachelor's degree.
She taught elementary school in Stratford, NH, mainly second grade, and substituted at Jefferson Elementary School. After her marriage to Searle Paschal in 1950, she stayed home to raise her family on Valley Road, Jefferson. She enjoyed working in her garden, knitting, reading, and crafts. Stella was active in the Jefferson Community Church and was the present holder of the Boston Post Cane for Jefferson.
Surviving family members include her two sons, Wayne and wife Judith and Dale and wife Debra, both of Jefferson; 5 grandchildren, Thomas Paschal, Joseph Paschal, Karole Paschal, Ashlee Paschal, and Kyle Paschal; 6 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Searle; two brothers, Carroll Ingerson, Elliott Ingerson, and a sister, Marilyn Wetmore.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday evening, November 2, from 6:00 – 8:00PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Friday morning, November 3, at 11:00AM at the Jefferson Christian Church. Reverend Dean A. Stiles, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Forest Vale Cemetery, Jefferson.
