Lancaster - Steven T. Bean, 48, of Third St, passed away, Tuesday, December 20th, 2021, at Brigham and Womens Hospital, Boston, MA, after a recent illness.
Steven was born in Lancaster NH, on August 28, 1973, the son of John F. Bean of Northumberland, NH and mother, Joyce (MacKillop) Bean of Lancaster, NH. He was a lifetime resident of Lancaster, graduating from WMRHS, class of 1992.
Steven had worked for Asplundh Tree Expert, starting in 1992, right after graduating from high school. While he had left the company a few times, always returning to what he enjoyed most, working outside, his total years of service to the company was approx. 25 years. At the time of his death Steven was overseeing the operation of a new piece of equipment.
Steven was an avid hunter and fisherman, to say the least. He enjoyed hunting coyotes, waterfowl and turkey with his children and the Bishop Boys. Multiple times a year he would head off to camp, in Guildhall, VT with the Hatfield's. It's safe to say, Steven was the only cook at camp, known as "the Chef". He made all the meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all of them during their multi weeklong trips. Steven considered all of these "friends" as part of his own family.
Steven had a love for honeybees, which he learned from his" Grampa", Willard Bean. Most recently he got to continue that alongside his sister, Stephanie and brother-in-law, Nathan. They built and designed their own horizontal hives this past summer. Enjoying a season full of milling, barn building, love, and laughter.
Steven is survived by his wife, Jennifer, their children Cloe and Colt; his mother Joyce; his father John; 3 sisters, Stephanie Baker and husband Nathan, Stacey Bean and partner, Greg, and Amanda Bean; 2 nephews, James Baker and Dakota Hatfield and 3 nieces, Olivia Baker, Madison Gonyer and Kennedy Blanchette; In laws Butch and Wava Baker; and sister-in-law, Charity Baker; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, December 27th, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00AM at the Lancaster United Congregational Church of Christ. Reverend Seth Frink will officiate.
