WHITEFIELD - Sylvia Gay Roy, 75, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 with her loving family by her side. She was born July 23, 1941 in Lancaster the daughter of Leo and Alice (Pelletier) Chouinard. Sylvia was a graduate of Lancaster High School.
Sylvia was a Teacher's Aide at Whitefield Elementary where she enjoyed teaching and working with kids. Sylvia loved the outdoors especially gardening and caring for the birds that visited her home. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her five children, sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Surviving is her daughter Debra Ledezma and her husband Hugo of Pasadena, MD; Craig Roy and his wife Yvette of Woodland, CA; Denise Frechette and her husband Richard of Hot Springs, AK; Michelle Lowe and her husband Mark of Merrimack, NH; Mark Roy and his wife Pamela of Merrimack, NH; one sister, Louise Haase and her husband Fran; sixteen grandchildren, Stephanie, Alice, Chris, Alex and Francesca Ledezma; Claudia and Jacie Roy; Nicole, Danielle, Gabrielle and Justin Frechette; Jake, Domenic and Caroline Valluzzi; Joshua and Evan Roy; stepson Ryan Lowe; four great-grandchildren, as well as several special nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday evening, October 13th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, 210 Main Street, Lancaster, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 11:00 AM at All Saints Church, 163 Main Street, in Lancaster. Reverend Matthew Mason, pastor, will officiate. A committal service will be held Friday, June 16th at 2:00 PM in Calvary Cemetery, Lancaster.
