Tara Lee (Eastman) Kilby, 71, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, MA, following a long period of failing health. She was born on July 22, 1950, in Lancaster, NH, to Walter F. and Beverly (Hartford) Eastman.
Tara attended Lancaster Elementary School and then graduated from White Mountains Regional High School in 1968. Following high school she worked for a few years in Manchester, NH, but then returned to Lancaster, NH where she was employed as a Bookkeeper / Office Manager for area businesses for 30 years. She then relocated to southern New Hampshire and she has resided in Manchester for many years.
Tara was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Lancaster, NH, and the Women's Auxiliary of VFW Post #3041, Lancaster, NH.
Family members include her son, Jeremy Paul Kilby, Lancaster, NH and her daughter, Jordan Bianca Kilby, of Wilton, NH. She will also be missed greatly by her sister, Toni Farnham, Lancaster, NH, and her brother, Dana Eastman and his wife, Monica, of Lunenburg, VT. She is survived by four very special nieces and nephews; and, of course, the "apple of her eye", her one grandchild, Cayden Robert Kilby and his wife, Kristen, of Guildhall, VT. For many years, Tara has resided with her fiancé, Roger F. Montminy, in Manchester, NH. She loved Roger's family as she did her own, and they loved her right back. And she would tell you that you can never spoil a grandchild too much.
Tara was predeceased by her mother in 1971 and her father in 2012.
Calling hours will be held Friday evening, June 3rd, from 5 to 8 pm at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 4th, at 11 am at Christ United Methodist Church, Lancaster, NH. Reverend Richard Boyden, pastor, will officiate. Burial will immediately follow in the Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster, NH. A luncheon will be held in the church parish hall following the burial.
