LANCASTER - Thomas A. Mosher, 56, of North Road, died Wednesday, June 6, 2007, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, after a long illness.
Mr. Mosher was born in Lancaster on March 31, 1951 the son of James H and Phyllis (Parker) Mosher.
Tom was raised on his family's farm in Lunenburg and graduated from White Mountain Regional High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War.
Working as a mechanic most of his life he was emplyed for a time at Roberts Motors Sales. He went on to own and operated Trees and Turf in Lancaster and later managed the business when it changed to the Tool Crib. For the past twelve years he was employed at F.B Spaulding. He was also a self employed entrepreneur, doing various outdoor work, including lawn care, plowing, and wood cutting.
He was a member of John W. Weeks V.F.W Post 3041, Lancaster.
Family members include his mother, Phyllis of Lunenburg, two sons, Thomas A. Mosher Jr. of Northumberland and Jamie A. Mosher of Whitefield; a daughter Tanya M. Mosher of Loudon and a stepdaughter Carrisa Flynn of Washington State; two sisters, Anna Eastman of Anchorage, and Betty McLeod of Northumberland and one granddaughter Breanna Mosher. He was predeceased by, his wife Nancy (Heath) Mosher on July 3, 2003.
Memorial visiting hours will be held Saturday evening, June 9 from 5-8 at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A graveside service will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 PM in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster. Reverend Virginia Alvarez, pastor, at Lancaster Congregational United Church of Christ will officiate.
