LANCASTER - Veronica M. Gardner, died Wednesday morning, March 4, 2020, at The Morrison in Whitefield. She had just turned 100 years old two weeks before her passing.
Mrs. Gardner, also known as Ronnie, was born in Woodsville, NH on February 19, 1920, the daughter of Peter and Lumina (Lamontagne) Monfette.
On August 11, 1941 she married Henry T. Gardner at St. Josephs Church in Woodsville. For many years they wintered in Avon Park, Florida. Henry predeceased her in 1999.
She is survived by 3 generations of loving family: her son Stephen M. Gardner and his wife Mitra Shamsa of Dallas Texas, her granddaughter Elizabeth Loucks, husband Mat Loucks and their 3 children Lilly, Lauren, and Lucas Loucks all of Plano Texas, and her granddaughter Claire Gardner and her husband Rajeev Sunkara of El Paso Texas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the spring followed by a burial in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster. A service announcement will be made at a later date.
