Victor V. Covey

EAST CONCORD - Victor V. Covey, 65, of Woodbury Drive, died Friday morning December 12, 2008, at the Pines Rehabilitation and Health Center, Lyndon.

Mr. Covey was born in Swedesboro, NJ, on December 22, 1942, the son of Bertie and Etta (Sargent) Covey.

Victor was raised in Lunenburg and has resided throughout northern Vermont and New Hampshire during his lifetime.  He returned to Lunenburg for ten years and has been in East Concord for the past four.  For a time he was employed at Allen Lumber in Barre and for many years was the maintenance man at McDonalds in Littleton.  He enjoyed fishing in his spare time.

Family members include a daughter Christine Haile of Lisbon; a son John W. Covey of Burlington; a brother John Covey of Lunenburg; a sister Joyce Hurst of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; and several grandchildren.

At Victor's request there are no visiting hours.  A graveside service will be held in the spring in Riverside Cemetery in S. Lunenburg.
