JEFFERSON - Victor Dubois, 92, died at his home Tuesday morning May 15, 2012, after a long illness.
Mr. Dubois was born in Rochester, NH, on September 3, 1919, the son of Honorie and Adelia (Nolette) Dubois.
Victor worked as a logger to help support his family. For many years he was employed at the Groveton Paper Mill. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving family members include his wife of 68 years, Ghislaine (Couture) Dubois of Jefferson; two sons, Maurice Dubois and his wife Deborah of Jefferson, Andy Dubois and his wife Kathy of Lancaster; two daughters, Solange Norcross and her husband Peter of Vero Beach, FL, Diane Heath and her husband Jeffrey of Jefferson; a sister Blanche Plante of Sherbrooke, Quebec; a step-sister Lina Vachon of Sherbrooke, Quebec; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his step mother Anna Beaudoin, a son Jean-Marie in 1945 and 12 brothers and sisters.
Visiting hours will be held Friday evening May 18, from 6-8 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10:00 AM at St. Agnes church in Jefferson. Rev. John MacKenzie, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lancaster.
