DALTON - Victoria "Babs" Dupont, 67, of Whitefield Road, died Friday evening March 6, 2009, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster, after a long illness.
Mrs. Dupont was born in Nashua, NH, on January 1, 1942, the daughter of Fernando and Pauline (Stratton) Paquette.
Babs was a lifelong resident of Hudson until she and her late husband George C. Dupont Sr. moved to Dalton in 1990. For 12 years she was employed at Cumberland Farms in Whitefield. She enjoyed spending time with people and especially loved being with her grandchildren.
Family members include a son George C. Dupont Jr. of Nashua; three daughters, Lisa Marie Dumont of Hudson, Dorothy Anne Dupont of Dalton, Donna Lee Dupont of Lancaster; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bruce Paquette of Merrimack, NH, Bobby Paquette of Nashua; a sister Collette Silva of Newburyport, MA; many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband George in 1999; a daughter Deborah Dupont in 2005; and a son Joe Paquette.
At Babs request there are no visiting hours. A time of remembrance will be held Thursday afternoon, March 12, at 2:00 PM at the John W. Weeks VFW Post, Lancaster.
