Vincent E. Bell passed away on Oct. 22, 2009 at the Morrison Nursing Home in Whitefield, NH.

Mr. Bell was born June 13, 1922 at the Morrison Hospital in Whitefield, NH. His parents where Carl N. Bell and Grace Penney. He had three brothers Maurice Bell, Clinton Bell, and a younger brother Harold Bell. All of who have predeceased him.

In 1942, at the age of twenty-two, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and did his basic training in Macon, GA. After basic training he was assigned to the 11

th

Air Force and sent to the Aleutian Islands to fight in the Pacific Theater. At the end of World War II he came back to Lunenburg to work as a mechanic and was married in December 23, 1945 to Rita Powell.

He lived most of his life as a resident of Lunenburg. He was employed in the Gilman Paper Mill, owned a chainsaw business, and was a licensed electrician. He loved his family, hunting, fishing, skiing, gardening, and just being outdoors.

Vincent leaves behind his devoted wife of 63 years, Rita Bell of Lunenburg, VT. He also departs from his five children and their spouses; Daniel Bell and Mary (Quimby) of Wheelock, VT, Diane and Bruce Thomas of Lunenburg, VT, Anna and Carl Lavallee of Monkton, VT, Mary Lou and Gary Ingalls of Lunenburg, VT, and Amos and Dolores (Couture) Bell also of Lunenburg. He has thirteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning October 26

at 11:00 AM at St. Leo's Church in Lunenburg, VT. Father Patrick Foreman, pastor, will officiate. Burial with Military honors will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Lancaster, NH. After the committal service a luncheon will be offered at the All Saints Parish hall in Lancaster, NH.
