Virginia F. "Ginny" Wallace

GROVETON- Virginia F. Wallace, 57, of Melcher Street, died Wednesday morning, October 22, 2008, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.

Virginia was born in Lancaster on December 30, 1950, a daughter of Charles E. Hodge and Faye (Emerson) Hodge.

Ginny was raised in Lancaster and was a 1968 graduate of White Mountain Regional High School. She worked at Weeks Hospital as a certified nursing assistant and in 1987 she moved to Florida, where she worked at nursing homes in St. Petersburg and Tampa. In 1998 she returned to the North Country.

Family members include her three children, Lawrence Wallace and his wife Danielle of Barnstead, Amy Lee Wallace and her fiancée Frank DelGrego of Lunenburg and Shawn Wallace and his wife Tracy of Columbia, sisters Mary Kenison of Lancaster, Cathy Bishop of Lancaster, Sally Morris of Orleans, VT and Dottie Hodgdon of Guildhall, a brother Stephen Hodge Sr. of Groveton, 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by, her parents and a sister Charlene Ruth.

Visiting hours will be held Friday afternoon and evening October 24, from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 at the Christ United Methodist Church of Lancaster. Reverend Dr. Thomas W. Bentum, pastor, will officiate. Immediately after the service a gathering will be held in the church hall.
