GRANBY, VT- Vivian M. Brown, 75, of Porrell Road, died Friday afternoon, March 21, 2008, at Country Village Genesis Elder Care.
Mrs. Brown was born in Concord, VT on July 18, 1932 a daughter of Sulings and Jennie (Wilson) Hodgdon.
Vivian was the Post Master in Granby for thirty years. She loved her flowers and lived for her family.
Family members include her husband Sherwood Brown of Granby; a daughter Cindy Bilodeau of Granby; three sons Robert Brown of Upton, ME, Gene Brown of Lyndonville, VT and Jeff Brown of Granby; two brothers Fred Hodgdon of Granby and Murray Hodgdon of Guildhall; a sister Barbara Brown of Granby; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by, a son Gary Brown and a brother Donald Hodgdon.
At Vivian's request there are no calling hours. A funeral service will be held Monday March 24, 2008 at 11:00 AM, at the Lancaster Congregational United Church of Christ. Reverend Gerry Piper of Danville will officiate. Burial will be in the spring in Appleton Cemetery in Granby.
