DALTON - Wallace S. Harvey, 81, of Dalton Road, died Friday evening, March 24, 2017 at the Littleton Regional Hospital.
Mr. Harvey was born in Greensboro, VT, on October 18, 1935, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Robert Harvey. Wally was raised in Greensboro and East Hardwick. From 1958 to 1978 he served in the US Army. He worked as a cook and did one tour in Vietnam retiring as a Sergeant First Class. In 1982 he became a locksmith and operated Harvey's Locksmith until 2010. For a time he served with the Dalton Volunteer Fire Department Police.
Family members include his son Warren R. Harvey of Dalton; his daughter Sharon Young of Twin Mountain; and grandchildren Mark Young, Douglas Young Jr., Kristie Koltz and James Wallace Harvey. He was predeceased by his wife Eunice M. (Thayer) Harvey in 1993.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday evening April 1, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A graveside service with military honors will be held May 20th at 10:00 AM in Cushman Cemetery, Dalton.
