LANCASTER - William R. Clark, 78, of Middle Street, died at his home Friday morning, August 13, 2021.
Bill was born in Lancaster on June 21, 1943, the son of Earl D. and Arlene (James) Clark. He was a graduate of Groveton High School and San Francisco State University. He served in the US Army and was stationed at Fort Bragg. Bill played on the Army baseball team and was drafted by the Atlanta Braves. He enjoyed baseball, golf, going to sporting events, talking with friends, and mostly spending time with his granddaughters.
For many years Bill was a sales representative for North Country Ford in Lancaster.
Surviving family members include his wife Lynne (Kenison) Clark of Lancaster; two children, Nichole Gilbert and husband Chris of Belmont, NH, Lesley Ware and husband Thomas of Andover, NH; four grandchildren, Abigail and Beckett Gilbert, Laurel and Eila Ware; a brother Dean Clark and wife Mary Jane of Guildhall, VT; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Friday morning, August 20th at 11:00 AM in the Ridgwell Cemetery, Guildhall. Reverend Timothy Brooks, pastor of St. Paul's Church in Lancaster, will officiate.
