JEFFERSON- William "Wild Bill" McMann, 68, of Meadow Road, died at his home on May 3, 2009.
Mr. McMann was born in Stratford on January 13, 1941, the son of Cleveland and Lucille (Bronson) McMann.
Bill was raised in Lost Nation, where he worked on the family farm. He has been a resident of Jefferson for over 30 years. He worked for many years at Saunders Brothers Mill in Dalton, after retirement he mowed lawns and worked for the Senior Meals.
He was known for his kindness, always willing to lend a helping hand whether he knew the person or not.
Family members include a brother Michael McMann of Lost Nation, his companion Darlene Young of Jefferson, his uncles Vernard Bronson of Jefferson, Roland Bronson of Bethlehem and Kenneth Bronson of Lancaster, his aunts Catherine Webster of Florida, Bethany Bronson of Stark and Cora Bronson of Littleton. He was predeceased by, his parents and an uncle Robert Bronson.
There are no calling hours. A gathering for his close friends will be held on Saturday, May 9, at 3:00 PM at his home, 266 Meadow Road, Jefferson. Also a memorial service will be held on Wednesday May 13, at 1:00 PM at the McIntyre School Apartments, Whitefield
