William C. 'Willie' Brown

LANCASTER - William C. "Willie" Brown, 79, of Riverside Drive, died at his home Thursday morning June 6, 2013 surrounded by his family.
Mr. Brown was born in Berlin on February 14, 1934 the son of Elwin and Lindall (Call) Brown.
He was raised and attended schools in Berlin and Lancaster. For many years he worked for Jay Gould and was also self employed as a logger. For 10 years he was employed with Central Paving until he retired due to health.
Willie loved stock car racing and was a former race car driver. In 1965 he was the track champion at Riverside Speedway in Groveton. He also enjoyed the outdoors and travelling.
Family members include his wife Anne K. (Libby) Brown of Lancaster; four children, William Brown of Florida, Richard Brown of Lancaster, Susan Roby of Groveton, Timothy Brown of Lancaster; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
There are no visiting hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
