LANCASTER - Yvonne Boucher "GG", 84, died Saturday evening January 18, 2014 at Country Village Genesis Eldercare Center, Lancaster.

Mrs. Boucher was born in Colebrook on April 13, 1929 the daughter of Noel J. and Rosa E. (Beauchemin) Benoit.

In her early years she worked as a nurse at Weeks Medical Center and was a partner in the family auctioneering business.  For several years she owned and operated the Linscott & Smith stationary store in Lancaster.  After the sale of the store she worked at the former Pilgrim Furniture store in Lancaster.

Yvonne was a homemaker who loved life, children and her many friends.  She enjoyed yard sales, gardening, cooking, knitting, walking and dancing.  Her greatest pleasure was caring for children especially her own grandchildren.  Many local residents will remember her for her babysitting services and trips to the children's room at the library.

Family members include her four children and their spouses, Robert Martin and Barbara of Lancaster, Jerry Martin and Helen of Guildhall, Nancy Sanborn and David of Lancaster, Mark Boucher and Nancy of Bow, NH; she is also survived by four brothers; a sister; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her first husband Fred Martin; her second husband Raymond Boucher; and four brothers.

At Yvonne's request there are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Summer Street Cemetery.  An announcement will be published at that time.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to Weeks Memorial Library, 128 Main Street, Lancaster, NH exclusively for the Children's Room.
