LUNENBURG, VT- Yvonne Burt Henderson, 75, died Tuesday morning August 16, 2011, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.
Mrs. Henderson was born in Lunenburg, VT on April 14, 1936, the daughter of Ovila N.and Mabel H. (Blood) Roy.
Yvonne was a homemaker and mother of 11 children. She had a big heart and loved everyone. She had a great love of all animals and her greatest love was children.
Surviving family members include 10 children David Burt of Fort Myers, FL, Donald Burt of Dalton, Cindy Valentine of Lunenburg, Leona Crawford of W. Springfield, MA, Harvey Henderson Jr., Burton Burt, Gordon Burt, Dean Burt, Jane Richardson and Barbara Walker all of Lunenburg; 5 sisters, Jeanette Thompson of Virginia, Florence Colby of Lunenburg, Irene Chase of Littleton, Verna Belle Ingerson of Lisbon and Arlene Baird of Arizona; 4 brothers, Ernie Roy of Guildhall, George Roy, Clayton Roy, and Albert Roy all of Lunenburg; 28 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Allen Burt; her second husband Harvey Henderson; a son Allen Burt; and a brother Norman Roy.
Calling hours will be held Thursday evening August 18, from 6-8 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 11:00 AM at St. Leo's Church in Lunenburg. Reverend Patrick Foreman, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Lunenburg.
