Yvonne Lois (Dargie) Mundell, 70, of Lunenburg, VT, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012, surrounded by her loving family, at Weeks Memorial Hospital, after a period of declining health. She was born September 12, 1941 to Albert and Eunice (Cox) Dargie in East Haverhill, NH.
She raised 5 children and as a young mother did babysitting and office cleaning jobs in North Haverhill, NH. After moving to Lunenburg, she worked as a nurse's aide at Kent Nursing Home and for Weeks Home Health Services in Lancaster, and for Sartwell Place in Whitefield. She was also well known for her gardening and baking skills.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Harold Mundell of Lunenburg; one son, Paul Mundell and his wife Cindy of Groveton; four daughters, Tammy Forbes and husband Allan, Dawn Cartwright and husband Steve of Lancaster; Wendy Colby and husband Brian of Lunenburg; Amber Chase and husband Lonnie of Whitefield; her mother, Eunice Rockwood of Haverhill; three brothers, John Dargie of Georges Mills, James Dargie of Milford, Jerome Dargie of Nashua; two sisters, Barbara Aloupis of Portsmouth, Joan Allen of Walpole; eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father and one brother, Peter Dargie of Hudson.
There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 709 Main Street, Lancaster, NH at 2pm on Saturday, May 5th. Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster.
